OK, so it is almost a week till I leave for Spain and I wanted to start this blog to keep you all in the loop. Unlike a certain sister and cousin I know, I promise to update as frequently as I can and keep it short and interesting.
The first interesting thing I will explain is my URL choice because only a few readers will understand. At PVI high school my freshman year we were all assigned "Spanish" names as an ice breaker. It also helped the students get more comfortable with the culture, mine was Pilar.
Before I forget, I will have a computer there with a web-cam and I hope to have some kind of Internet service. So, for those of you who want to keep in touch I have Skype and recommend you get it too! Email me your user name so that I may add you to my contact list!

I'm sorry, maybe you should try traveling to rural, poverty-stricken South Africa and see what your internet service is like and how expensive it is on a tight budget and then come talk to me. Especially after we were given a different assignment to complete instead of the blogging once they realized it would not work out.
But since you're so great, I'm sure your blog will be updated several times a day!
